Danaway Bags (Imp) 14.2hh
Chestnut Sabino with ticking

After searching through Wales in July 2009 the dream of a lifetime materialized
when I met the stallion Danaway Bags at Sarah and Vern Hamer’s Cascob Stud.
Bred from a line of multi champions, this eye catching sabino with “four whites and a blaze”
left me in awe of his presence and extravagant movement.

The Attrell family from Danaway Stud who bred Bags, pride themselves on producing the very best cobs.
These include Danaway Flash Jack and Danaway Scrumpy Jack, Danaway Harry and Danaway Samson.
Bags’ sister Danaway Cracklin Rose is also a Multi Supreme Champion.

Bags was named after the late Mattie Attrell senior. We are privileged to have this connection to Danaway.
Hillswood is proud and excited to stand a stallion of this calibre and look forward to showing him in 2010.

Thank you Sarah and Vern for giving us the opportunity to purchase Bags
and enabling us to import the first of the Danaway line to Australia.

Llanina Merlyn (Imp) 14.3hh Black

Merlyn was imported from Wales in 1992 by Acheron Stud.
After purchasing Merlyn in 2003, John and I attended the Royal Welsh Show in Builth Wells
and were thrilled to watch his sister Llanarth Nellie win her broodmare class.

Merlyn’s progeny excel in pony dressage and jumping as well as producing
many Supreme in hand exhibits. He stamps them with a lovely length of rein
excellent hock action and a “look at me” presence.

Merlyn  is now 25 years old and will no longer  be standing to outside mares.
